Torri joined the Russell Regional Hospital Rehabilitation Department in 2017. She attended Fort Hays State University obtaining her Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) in 2014. Before her journey began in rehabilitation, Torri was a social worker for 10 years and then decided to become an SLP. Torri’s 12 years of SLP experience started in 2014 where she worked for USD 489 in Ellis County, Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital, Rush County Hospital, and Aegis Therapies for several healthcare agencies. Originally, from Ness City, Torri is familiar working in rural healthcare facilities and that is a great asset for RRH.

These experiences have given Torri the knowledge to take a patient centered focus on what is most important to each patient and build on their strengths. Torri loves getting to know each patient and find out what they care about & want to improve upon.

Torri’s strong desire to help people and improve their lives is also carried out in her day-to-day life. She has been married to her husband for 25 years and dedicates herself to her grown children, her 1 grandchild, and dog Toby. Spending time with her family is very important. Hiking, traveling to new places, and going to any Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals, KU, or St. Louis Cardinals game is where you will find her in her free time.
