The Russell Regional Hospital Emergency Department is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and all holidays. Our team is made up of physicians, advanced practice providers, and nurses. Team services also include access to telehealth experts and medevac services in cases that require additional specialty care. Ambulance, helicopter, and airplane options are available should transfer be needed.

We provide Emergency Services to the Russell community and surrounding communities. Complete with two trauma rooms, a treatment room, and a triage room. A comfortable waiting area for family and friends is available with TV, phone, restroom, and vending machine.

Healthcare professionals are staffed to handle a multitude of situations from minor injuries to major trauma. We work with various transport services to fly patients by helicopter or fixed wing to a Level I Trauma Center if needed. All RN’s who work in the Emergency Room are certified in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course). We also have a physician on call 24/7 to cover the Emergency Room. Emergency room visits average over 2,400 per year.
