Sam joined the Russell Regional Hospital Rehabilitation Department in 2023 as a Rehabilitation Aide while she was completing her education. Sam attended Kansas State University, obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and then went on to the University of Kansas Medical Center to complete her Doctor of Occupational Therapy.

During her education, Sam completed fieldwork rotations in Home Health as well as in school settings. She completed her doctoral capstone experience in outpatient pediatrics. Sam’s desire to work in healthcare comes from her passion to help people overcome their obstacles. Sam believes in taking a holistic, patient-centered approach, supporting her patients as they regain their independence through OT.

Sam is a Russell, KS native and is married with 1 child. As a new parent, Sam enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cherishing every moment with their new son. In her free time, she enjoys going on walks and cheering on the K-State Wildcats in every sport throughout the year.
