Mitchell joined the Russell Regional Hospital Rehabilitation Department immediately after graduating in 2017. He comes with an abundance of experience after obtaining an Associate of Science at Colby Community College, Bachelor of Science at Fort hays State University, and Doctor of Physical Therapy at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Mitchell’s specialties include certified personalized blood flow restriction training, certified level one and two dry needling, certified RockTape and RockBlade functional taping and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization. Mitchell was recently announced as the Director of Russell Regional Hospital’s Rehabilitation Center in 2023.

Since taking on this role, Mitchell has made a huge impact at RRH. He is always advocating for the latest equipment and technology for his patients, including the implementation of a new therapy pool. He is serious about his role, working to maximize any patient’s potential, no matter how hard it is. He enjoys seeing his patients go from a debilitated state to returning to their hobbies, sports, life., etc. He also values the relationships he forms with his patients as they spend a lot of time together and really get to know each other during their treatments.

Growing up in Spearville, KS, Mitchell knows the value of working in a small, rural town. He and his wife Gentry have 1 son. They stay busy operating their family farm alongside their jobs. When Mitchell isn't at RRH or the farm, he enjoys anything that has to do with sports and spending time with his family.
