Charly joined the Russell Regional Hospital (RRH) Emergency Room Department in September, 2012 and then moved up to the Director of the Physician’s Clinic for RRH in June, 2026. With more than 13 years of experience in nursing and healthcare, Charly brings an immense amount of knowledge to RRH. She has previous experience working at Hays Medical Center, Clara Barton Hospital, and Larned State Hospital.

Charly started her degree at Barton County Community College, receiving her Associates Degree in Nursing in 2015. She then went on to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in 2020 from Fort Hays State University.

Growing up Charly always knew she wanted to work in the healthcare field. She believes in patient centered care, ensuring that every decision made begins and ends with what is best for the patient.

“It is about treating each individual with dignity, respect, compassion, and empathy while recognizing their unique needs, values, and goals.”

Charly is an advocate in providing care through all her patients stages of treatment, building trust and making a positive difference when they need it the most.

“It’s holding a patient’s or loved one’s hand on what may be the hardest day of their lives, offering reassurance when they feel overwhelmed, and helping them feel seen, heard, and cared for. I also love celebrating the victories, whether that’s hearing the words ‘you’re in remission,’ watching someone recover enough to go home, seeing a patient regain their independence, or simply sharing in the relief and happiness that comes with good news.”

Charly is originally from Southeast, KS but has been a part of Russell for 16 years. When she is not taking care of her patients, Charly and her husband stay busy chasing around their two children. They enjoy going to the lake and spending time with family and friends. You can often find Charly with a good book in hand when she has free time.
