In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Russell Regional Hospital (RRH) will be hosting an evening of fun for the whole family. A pink glow walk will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2026 with activities beginning at 6:30 PM and the official walk beginning at 7PM. The event will take place at the RRH Walking Track. There is no registration for this FREE event. RRH is located at 200 South Main Street, Russell, KS.
The goal of the event is to bring awareness to breast cancer research, survivors, and current diagnoses. Glow Sticks, ribbon tattoos, balloons, refreshments, photo booth and more will be available for all participants. Everyone is encouraged to wear pink. A donation bucket will be available with all proceeds going to our RRH Action Fund. Vendors will also be on site, along with a possible food truck.
Every 2 minutes, a woman in the U.S. is diagnosed with breast cancer. RRH is proud to offer 3D Mammography Technology as preventative mammograms save lives and early detection is the best treatment. Annual mammograms starting at age 40 help find small tumors before they cause symptoms or spread. Nearly 100% of health insurers cover yearly mammograms as part of your annual well woman checkup. Join us for this FREE fun, family event to bring awareness to a disease that affects so many loved ones.
