Russell Regional Hospital's Emergency Department strives to provide progressive technology available to assist in diagnosing and monitoring patient's progress and providing treatment. Over 2,600 patients are treated annually. The Emergency Department is staffed 24/7 with qualified and dedicated emergency room physicians and nurses. All nurses are ACLS & PALS certified. The overall turn-around time is approximately 90 minutes for urgent and non-urgent patients. In-house 24/7 laboratory, x-ray, CT, and respiratory care is available. RRH has the ability to stabilize trauma patients with multiple injuries and arrange transfer to trauma centers in the area or state as needed. Russell County EMS Department is a Type I service and stationed at the hospital. A Paramedic and EMT respond to 911 calls. This provides for very timely assistance and transport if needed.
